Wired Wednesday

Posted in Wired Wednesday by john

Here is the first Wired Wednesday . I have chosen a classic East Coast track. “The night that patty murphy died”. It is a great track and one that I thought would be a good start. Here is a Link where you can find the track:Patty Murphy

Monday Mayhem

Posted in Monday Mayhem by john

So here it is the first Monday Mayhem. Today’s story is one that hit the headlines this weekend and caught my eye as it would be a very useful product for the staff at Summit. It is the “Sales of canned oxygen” brought to you by Japanese 7-11. They have created a multiuse can of flavoured oxygen that helps revitalize one’s energy levels. You can find the story here: Canned O2

As Promised

Posted in General by john

I have decided on what my new themes are going to be. I will have three days Monday Mayhem, Wired Wednesday and Friday Five. Monday Mayhem will consist of a news event/story that has caught my eye, Wired Wednesday will be a song mention and/or lyrics and/or a downloadable link, and Friday Five will be the classic friday five questions. Stay tuned.

Update

Posted in General by john
Time for an update folks

So I have had a pretty odd month or so since I returned home from our trip to Victoria. I went right back to working 7 days a week at least I was until the start of April, when I cut the grouphome job from 6 days down to 2 per week. So since then I have been only working the weekend at the house and then random shifts at the YC for the rest of the week. This lasted up until May 1st. It was then that I resigned from m position at the grouphome after having some serious problems with the organization and structure in place within the staffing of the house. Now only a week later the YC has switched to the summer program so I am now unemployed for the first time in quite awhile. Oh well I leave in less the one month and 14 days. I did go through the whole interview/testing process for census 2006 to try and pick up a part time position with them, but they haven’t called back yet. So that is the work situation.

As I eluded to back in April, I now own a 1997 Jeep TJ. I have been spending quite a bit of time working on little things for her and am starting to get her ready for the possible roadtrip to camp. I have become a frequent poster/lurker in www.jeepforum.com and various other jeep sites.

As soon as Dave has things set up, guessing not until I get back I am going to be moving my blog over to a wordpress site on my own domain. I am in the process of getting my gallery up and running again and hopefully will have a small site up and running before I go. I have more to write about and a couple weekly themes I may start but that will have to wait until after the overtime is over.
